Vegan Eye Makeup
I’m pretty sure every vegan would name Pacifica as one of his/her favorite, go-to beauty brands. Right? Who’s with me? With their large (and ever-expanding!) line covering everything from hair to skin to makeup to perfume, Pacifica a staple for those looking for cruelty-free AND vegan products. And you can buy them in Target stores everywhere!! Yes, you heard me. IN TARGET, and all their products are vegan!
I’m already intimately familiar with their creams and perfumes – Hawaiian Ruby Guava and Island Vanilla are some of my faves. So I decided to learn a bit about their eye makeup line and share it with you. I apologize in advance for my eyelash selfies – they are hard to take!!
In this post, we’ll talk about:
Aquarian Gaze Water Resistant Long Lash Mineral Mascara in Abyss
Stellar Gaze Length & Strength Mascara in Supernova
Power of Love Coconut Infused Mineral Eye Shadow Palette
Aquarian Gaze Water Resistant Long Lash Mineral Mascara
Let me start with the product I loved most and is now a part of my daily routine.
I’ve searched high and low for a vegan waterproof mascara. I’ll save you the time – there is no such thing. Apparently whatever makes it “waterproof” comes from an animal. So I tried out Pacifica’s “water-resistant” on a limb. Honestly, it completely does the job for me. It is tear-proof; you have my word. Your lashes may clump together but the color won’t run. And just an added note, I would not wear it to a waterpark or in a pool. On the plus side, it washes right off in the shower and you don’t need much makeup remover after that!
Also, this mascara gives great volume. I love big ol’ lashes so this one is perfect for me. I think the volume and non-clumping is because of the brush (which is that round, plastic type – check out the picture.) I always have my best luck with those.
SUMMARY:
-water-resistant, tear-proof, but will wash off in a monsoon or shower
-great volume
-my new daily mascara
Stellar Gaze Length & Strength Mascara
This is another great vegan formula, but is not waterproof or even water-resistant. I know lots of people prefer that, so this product is for you.
This mascara gives a lighter, natural look, using a fiber brush. I’m not sure if the brush or the mascara is the cause, but this one is best for a more natural look. To avoid clumping, make sure to have a lash brush handy and a tissue to wipe the clumps off the brush before using.
SUMMARY:
-natural, less voluminous look
-apply carefully to avoid clumping
Power of Love Coconut Infused Mineral Eye Shadow Palette
This palette is exclusive to Target. It’s gorgeous, right down to the packaging. (As you see in the pictures, pretty much all Pacifica packaging is as pretty as their products.) This palette contains ten different eyeshadow shades. The colors cover a great range – from your daily standby deep mauve, to your highlighter/skin tone, to your party night out dark blue. This palette mixes atypical colors with necessary regulars for a wonderfully fun mix.
The shadows themselves are very creamy; I love the feel on my skin when applying. They go on fairly light and require a good amount of layering to get any darkness of color. Also, be SURE to wear an eyeshadow primer with these guys, or you’ll lose your hard work.
SUMMARY:
-beautiful shades
-luxurious feel
-light and natural color- wear a primer
I’m sure you’ll love one (or all!) of these great vegan eye makeup products. Check them out and let me know what you think in the comments!

Guess I won’t be able to get any of the Pacifica products until I go back home to the USA. The eyes hadows are wonderful. I live in Canada right now and people here hated Target for some reason, because it’s an American company primarily. As you may know, Target failed here and closed all of their stores. :*(

I have that eye shadow and the water resistant mascara. I had to use three coats of the mascara and still didn’t get that voluminous effect. However, it does hold up to tears and a water sprinkler. I like the eye shadow colors and the packaging. I agree about the primer, though.

I love your reviews and your blog. I’d love to see more on Mineral Fusion. Especially their natural hair care products.
