Morgan and I went to the Pamper Me Fabulous event at the beautiful Terranea resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. The event was huge! Lots of estrogen in the air with women shopping, exercising, learning and getting pampered with spa treatments and goodies.
There was The Bazaar, a marketplace of products and treatments, The Expert Corner, an area for discussions and lectures by experts such as Patti Stanger (AKA The Millionaire Matchmaker) and Kim Barnouin (the author of Skinny Bitch), and The Fitness Area, a place to tone one’s body through guidance by celebrity trainers.
We checked out sponsors including: face mapping by Dermalogica, weight loss powder and weight loss chew samples from Sensa, free Foot Petals from Just Fabulous, manicures by OPI, coffee and treats from Whole Foods, samples from Voli light vodka (very good with the Sensa flavored water!), Fab Fit Fun (Giuliana Rancic’s site), Hyundai and many more.
Our favorite part of the day was the fitness area. We attended Malika Chopra’s 20-minute meditation session. We were laying out in the green grass under the sun – on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Luckily, it was a beautiful day (no one believes me, but we do have rain in SoCal – we actually had rain the day before the event!). Now, the area was a little too close to the DJ who was blasting Lady Gaga and Justin Timberlake, so not the most relaxing atmosphere, but we still enjoyed it.
After our meditation session, we went to hear “Demystifying the World of Organic & Natural Skincare” presented by the Spa at Terranea. The speaker was talking about how natural, organic and cruelty-free beauty products can be just as good, if not better, than products full of chemicals. Information My Beauty Bunny readers already know! Side note: Morgan has been to the Spa at Terranea with her mom (for her b-day) and she loved it. They had their nails done and were invited to use the spa services. Then, they had lunch at the cafe overlooking the ocean. A perfect mom and daughter day! The view is just amazing – there are no words.
After listening to the speaker, we went outside again and enjoyed delicious gyros with our Voli light vodka cocktails and watched the DJ try in vain to get people to dance. In bright sunlight? To Gloria Estefan? Mmmm…pass. :p
We checked out the Bazaar a bit more and then checked out our amazing gift bags. One of the more interesting gift bag goodies (to me) was Psoria Gold – a cruelty free curcumin gel (derived from turmeric). It’s meant for skin with rosacea, clogged pores, burns, irritation, etc. I’ll try it out and let you know what I think.
Did you go to the event? If so, I’d love to know what you thought about it (good and bad). Let me know in the comments! You can see more pics from the event on the My Beauty Bunny Facebook page.
