Pevonia Phyto-Gel Cleanser

in Acne-prone, Combination Skin, Dry Skin, Oily Skin, Skin on 07/24/12

Note 11/6/15: I have learned that Pevonia is no longer cruelty free as they are selling in China.

If you haven’t found a good cleanser for normal to oily skin, I highly recommend Pevonia Botanica’s cruelty free Phyto-Gel Cleanser. It cleanses well and gets the gunk out without leaving me with a dried out, tight feeling.

Enticingly aromatic, Phyto-Gel Cleanser provides a soft lather for deep cleansing. Saponaria, rosemary, lemon, and pine, blend to rid your skin of impurities and surface toxins. Non-alkaline and non-drying.

Price
$30 for 5 oz.

What it is
This is a gel cleanser.

Active Ingredients
The active ingredients are Saponaria, Burdock, Rosemary, Lemon, and Sage.

How it’s used
Foam a small quantity of the Phyto-Gel Cleanser between wet palms. Apply on your face and neck and then work with your fingertips. Rinse with warm water, towel-dry, and follow with the Oily Skin Lotion or any Pevonia Lotion (AKA toner) according to skin type.

By aromatic, does it smell heavily of rubbing herbs on your face? Or does it have more of a citrus scent from the lemon? Thanks!

It’s really not herbal or citrusy – it just smells wonderful and clean! I know that’s not very helpful – but I can’t really identify the scent. Definitely not an herbal scent though.
