Have you ever noticed that using the same color on your cheeks and lips gives you a “I totally have my stuff together” kind of look? It’s not noticeably matchy-matchy – it just looks like you have everything under control (even if you don’t)! Pixi Beauty sent me some goodies to test out, and I was impressed with their Multibalm creme-powder sticks. I don’t usually like creme blushes, but these went on really smoothly and they are phenomenal for travel (or to throw into your bag for touchups throughout the day). I brought these on a trip to the beach with my family last month and my mom and sister tried to steal ’em all!
The Multibalm sticks are made with aloe vera, shea butter and rose hip oil to soothe and protect skin. The application is super smooth and the color is buildable, so you can start with a sheer wash of color and work your way up. For the swatches below, I used a heavy hand, so you can really see the colors.
My personal favorites are Wild Rose (mauve) and Baby Petal (neutral pinky brown). I didn’t think Soft Strawberry (red berry) would work for me at all since it’s bright and I’m so pale, but it actually looks like it will make a great “going out on the town” red – good to pair with a smokey eye. Sheer Sculpt is a cocoa shade that is perfect for contouring. Watermelon Veil is a bright pink – great for cooler or darker skin tones.
Pixi Beauty is a cruelty free brand. You can find these at Target stores or www.pixibeauty.com for $12 each.
