As a lifetime member of the oily skin club, I’ve tried all the mattifiers and oil-blotters out there. So, when my friend introduced me to this Colorescience SunCanny Finishing Brush, I was definitely skeptical. Still, I was intrigued by the natural formula and the brush applicator. After using it for a day, I was hooked.
Now, a year later, I’m still suprised by its unique ability to take care of my shiny t-zone. Oh, and did I mention it has sunscreen? SPF20 from physcial sun blockers titanium dioxide and zinc oxide.
For those of you not familiar with Colorescience, it’s yet another one of those mineral makeup lines, but this one stands out because its powders are packed into these easy-to-use containers that dispense the powder through the brush. You’ve probably seen similar knockoffs lately, but Colorescience was one of the first brands to use this application, and, unlike the wannabes, Colorescience’s brushes actually dispense the right amount of powder onto your face.
I like it because it doesn’t take up much room in my purse, and I don’t need a mirror to see what I’m doing. I just whip it out and brush it on and the shine is gone for hours. It also works great as a finishing powder after I apply my foundation in the morning.
The only drawback: the invisibly matte isn’t quite invisible. In fact, it can be somewhat white, especially if you use too much, but it can be fixed by simply rubbing the powder into the skin.
What I love most is its gentle formula of pearl powders, rice starch, oat protein, and coral seaweed. It never clogs my pores or makes me break out. And I never feel caked with makeup. Check it out at colorescience.com!
