As I’ve mentioned before, I’m not a fan of lipstick, and when Jen recommended I try this one, I was sure it would be like all the others, thick, cakey, and just a disappointment. But I was so wrong. From the second I put Josie Maran’s Lipstick on, I fell in love with it.
This lipstick glides on so easily. It was smooth and silky. It felt like a lip balm, but had the pigment of a lipstick. I tried the Devious color, which is a bright red. I usually stay away from reds, but this one was nice, not too pink, not too orange, just a perfect red. There’s something about a red lipstick that just makes you feel beautiful, a reminder of more glamorous times, I guess.
This is the first Josie Maran product I’ve tried, but I’ve been a fan of her modeling for years. She calls her brand luxury with a conscience. Not only is it cruelty free, it also contains only natural and organic ingredients. This lipstick contains White Beeswax, Soybean Oil, Olive Oil, Coconut Cream, Argan Oil and Jojoba Oil.
Now I can’t wait to try some of the other shades. I just might become a lipstick lover after all.
