Thursdays with Cheeky Rox: PUR Cosmetics Love Your Selfie 2 Palette Review and Tutorial
Cruelty free makeup brand, PUR Cosmetics recently released the Love Your Selfie 2 Palette! This is a gorgeous all-in-one palette that includes eight eyeshadows, three face powders, a mascara, a lipstick pencil and a lip gloss. I’m going to be going over each of these products individually but let me just put it out there – I’m a huge fan of this palette. It’s got everything I need to create day and/or night looks and it’s still super compact so it would be perfect for traveling.
Like I mentioned, the palette includes eight eyeshadows. There are three mattes and five shimmers. Both formulas are smooth and easy to blend out with nice pigmentation. I was really happy to see consistency in the eyeshadow formula because all too often, the pigmentation differs between mattes and shimmers in one palette. I also really like the range of colors. You get your neutrals but you also get some fun shimmers to play around with.
I’ve really been enjoying the face powders as well – the palette includes a blush, a bronzer and a baking powder. I’ve been using the baking powder to set my face and it has a nice brightening effect. The bronzer is well pigmented and blends out easily so it gives me a natural sun kissed glow. The blush is absolutely stunning! It’s a warm peachy-pink with subtle shimmer in it and I can definitely see myself using it tons!
The Love Your Selfie 2 Palette also comes equipped with a mini PUR Cosmetics Fully Charged Mascara, a Velvet Matte Lip Pencil and a Lip Gloss. The Fully Charged mascara is honestly one of my all-time favorites so I was super excited to see it in the palette! It gives me lots of volume and length so I always have it on hand. The Velvet Matte Lip Pencil is a nice, warm, rosy shade called Focal Point. It’s super creamy and lasts all day so it’s great for day-to-night looks. I was really impressed by the Pur Cosmetics Lip Gloss! The shade Silhouette is nicely pigmented and it matches the Velvet Matte Lip Pencil pretty closely. You can totally wear the two lip products separately or layered.
Just look at that pigmentation! This palette has it all – literally and figuratively. A great range of products to create day and night looks – not to mention they’re all highly pigmented and easy to apply! Love love love this palette!
