The impetus for producing the sustainability e-book was Sibu’s philosophy that if individuals can become more aware of actions, reactions and interactions – one person at a time – a tipping point can be reached to help slow down the destructive effects that have been building since the Industrial Revolution.
Sibu Beauty President, Peter McMullin explained, “We have first-hand knowledge of how our sustainable harvesting efforts in the small Himalayan communities have positively changed lives and kept the environment unscathed. Therefore we hoped to extend those efforts beyond our company and the best way, in our opinions, was through an easily accessible guide that would both educate and empower. He added, “We reached out to a variety of well-respected notables and were grateful that just about everyone we approached, said yes to providing articles for our sustainability e-book.”
In addition to planet-saving ideas, the e-book contains articles on everything from detoxing your life to how awareness & compassion can change an individual and the world.
