Vegan Cuts Spring Beauty Box Review
Vegan Cuts is one of my favorite subscription boxes. Their beauty box is the only sub box I know of that only ships cruelty free AND vegan beauty products. When you sign up for Vegan Cuts, you get a box full of full sized beauty products each quarter. They are very serious about vetting the brands they work with, so you can relax and know you’re only getting animal-friendly products!
Vegan Cuts sent me their spring beauty box to review. Here’s the low down on the goods!
Luxie Beauty foundation brush – I have received a few Luxie Beauty brushes in sub boxes, and I am very impressed! The last brush I received has gone into heavy rotation on my vanity. The brush in this box is perfect for applying foundation – it’s got a flat, tapered surface, and it’s small enough to work around the nose and under the eyes. All synthetic bristles.
Nubian Heritage African Black Soap – I love black soap, and Nubian Heritage is a great brand. It’s perfect for oily or acneic skin, and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry and parched.
Salis Skincare Blackhead Removal Mask – a sulfur, baking soda and clay powder that can be used as a blackhead mask or spot treatment. You mix with water to make a paste, and apply only where needed (not to your whole face). I haven’t had a chance to try this one yet, but the ingredients are tried and true. No fillers or extra ingredients, which I love!
Little Moon Essentials Clear Mind – an essential oil mist that wakes my a$$ up! It’s so nice to spritz it on my clothing, or around my work area when I need a pick-me-up. Rosemary, grapefruit and eucalyptus oils make a really nice blend when I need to get the party started!
Pair’d Beauty Dry Shampoo – I really love this one! The packaging is not exciting, but the product is really nice. First of all, it’s not the aerosol powder spray that you’re probably used to. It’s a liquid with maize and essential oils. It has a faint orange scent that I really like. It freshens up my hair, and gives it a little volume. If my hair was uber-greasy, I don’t think this would be the tool for the job, but for a freshen-up, I love this! It will be going into heavy rotation!
Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Pressed Eyeshadow in Sweet Pea – a beautiful mauve shade (mauve sounds so boring, but it’s one of my favorite makeup shades to bring out my green eyes). It’s filled with healthy ingredients like comfrey and organic raspberry extract, and it’s made without GMOs.
Overall, I feel like this is a great value. It costs $39.95 per season, and this box is worth about $56.20. I like that it’s not the same old brands over and over – I get to try new products from brands I wasn’t familiar with before. Get your Vegan Cuts Spring Beauty Box by June 6th! If you sign up after that, you’ll get the Summer Box – I’ll share that one with you when it comes in!
