Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick – Bold Lipstick Shades for Fall
I don’t know about you Bunnies, but I have Fall Fever! It’s still hot here in Los Angeles, although cooling down a little. But I am ready for horror movies, pumpkin spice everything, cozy sweaters and fireplaces (not that I own one but hey…). I am also thinking about my upcoming October wedding and honeymoon in the UK, and what makeup shades I will be wearing while I’m there. Stila has released some new Stila Stay All Day liquid lipstick shades and they are PERFECT for Fall!
The Stila Stay All Day liquid lipstick formula is a creamy matte, enriched with Vitamin E and avocado oil. It’s got a cult following because the shades are highly pigmented, yet quite wearable.
The six, recently released warm and Fall-friendly shades are:
Fia (Neutral nude)
Vino (Deep blood red)
Siena (Deep dusty brown rose)
Lido (Deep warm nude)
Forza (Deep burgundy)
Palermo (Warm terracotta nude)
I’ve swatched Siena, Palermo and Vino above. Siena and Palermo are definitely shades I can pull off. They are warm and inviting and will definitely go with a good contour, some bronzer and a simple earthy eye look. I found them easy to apply and easy to wear. I just had to make sure I didn’t press my lips together until they were dry. Vino is a wine shade which I can pretty much never pull off. I found it bled a little more than the others and was a bit more patchy which is the case with every wine I’ve ever tried (liquid, stick, balm – it’s always like that in my experience). My lips are really dry right now, so all brands of lipsticks are bleeding, which is a new problem for me!
Also side note – in the lip swatch of Siena (first one above), you can see that I added a layer to my bottom lip and took the pic before it dried. I can’t say I did that on purpose (oops), BUT it shows how the lipstick looks when applied wet and how it looks when dried down. For the Palermo and Vino swatches, they were slightly wet – not quite dried down but not fresh either. So let’s pretend I did that on purpose, eh?
Liquid lipsticks are always drying for me, but these are on the more hydrating side of that spectrum. I found that they wore really easily over lip balm. I really like Aveda Feed My Lips Pure Nourish-Mint, and I was surprised to see the Stila Stay All Day lippies adhered nicely to it.
Overall I’m impressed with the formula, ease of use (except for the wine shades), comfort, longevity and pigmentation. I can see why these are cult faves! Which color is your favorite?

I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with how nice the formula is and how easy it is to apply!

Me too! I can’t really pull of wine shades unless it’s Halloween! 🙂

I like all three. I can see them happening in my life.

They look great on you but they aren’t my colors. I think either of the top two would be a great wedding lip.

All the shades look pretty on you and like always, great post and swatches. My lips are super dry all the time and I have noticed that since I added scrubbing/exfoliating my lips atleast twice a week, they stay in better condition.

I love Siena and Palermo on you. They have a shade called Patina (it’s a permanent one) that is the perfect neutral!

I love the Palermo shade, but unfortunately these feel too drying on me.

While I like all three shades, Vino is my favorite!

Palermo is so gorgeous! I can’t say that these lipsticks were really on my radar but I really love that shade.
