All SW Basics of Brooklyn products have 5 ingredients or less. Their Toner is perfect for combination to oily skin. I have made my own apple cider vinegar concoction in the past, but the problem is that it was hard to get the exact proportions right. And because I added green tea, I had to keep mine in the fridge, which meant I forgot to use it most of the time. SW Basics has mixed water, raw apple cider vinegar, witch hazel, and organic essential oils of clary sage and sandalwood. No preservatives, but it’s shelf stable.
Does it smell like apple cider vinegar? Yes. It’s not overpowering, but definitely still smells vinegar-y. I don’t mind it at all, because I know how amazing apple cider vinegar is for balancing your oil production, and the smell fades quickly. The toner neutralizes your skin’s pH and keeps it less oily AND less dry. Plus, the packaging is awesome! Definitely one to check out.

I’m excited about this brand! Lately my skin has shifted from acne prone oily in the summer to dry/irritated in the winter. So bizarre…Can’t wait to try this stuff out. 🙂
