T3 is already a well-known, well-respected hair tools brand, but they have really outdone themselves this time! The new T3 Twirl 360 Motion-Sensing , Auto-Rotating 1.25″ curling iron is pretty amazing. If you’re old enough to remember when products had “space age technology!” (am I dating myself?), then you’ll think of that when you try this baby out. It uses gyroscopic digital technology (that is actually used in aviation and space exploration) to automatically curl in the direction you move your hand. So basically, this is the FIRST motion-sensitive, auto-rotating curling iron!
It has 5 heat settings (up to 410 degrees) and ionic, tourmaline and ceramic technology. It has a cool tip, so you don’t need a glove to use it. It’s got two speeds; Once you get the hang of it, you can go faster and get those curls done in no time! And it comes with a 2 year warranty.
Here’s the before pic (my hair looks damaged and flat):
And, here’s my after pic – more fullness and waves! I still need a little practice, but I like I said, I also need practice with a regular curling iron! LOL!
I recommend you watch the how-to videos and read over the instructions before using the first time. It took me a couple tries to get it right (but keep in mind – I’m no pro with a regular curling iron!).
How to use:
Note: use on dry hair. Add a little bit of heat protecting spray if you wish.
– Step 1: Select the right speed. Press the Power and Temperature switch once quickly to operate at a slower speed or press down for two seconds to operate at a faster speed.
– Step 2: Select the optimal heat setting for your hair type. Double-click the Power and Temperature switch and then continue to click to select your desired temperature. Always start at a lower heat setting and work your way up if needed.
– Step 3: Gather and clip the top half of your hair out of the way.
– Step 4: From the bottom half of your hair, clamp a 1 to 2 inch-wide section (leave a half inch of hair out at the bottom if you are going for the messy, wavy “lob” look that is so popular right now) and glide the iron towards the ends.
– Step 5: Holding the GO Button, slowly rotate your wrist in one motion to activate the rotating barrel. Do not rotate the barrel against the hair, as it will cause a kink. (You barely need to move your hand to get it to rotate – so cool!)
– Step 6: Release the GO button to stop the rotation. (Don’t worry about burning yourself – just stop moving your hand and/or release the button, and it stops moving.)
– Step 7: Hold for a few seconds and then release the curl. (Pin the curl up to cool if you want tighter curls.)
-Step 8: Double click the GO button to let it auto-rotate to the original position.
– Step 9: Repeat steps 4-8 until your hair is fully styled.
Here’s a quick video of me using the T3 Twirl 360:
I tried to go blonde recently, and my hair was not happy, so I have ends that just don’t curl without help. So I love that I can create body and waves with the T3 Twirl 360.
