Terra Dolce Bath and Body Delights

in Body, Dry Skin, Vegan on 07/15/11

When I received my box of cruelty free Terra Dolce bath and body goodies, I did NOT want to use the Frankincense Myrrh and Basil Spearmint soaps, because they were packaged so beautifully! The perfect soaps to display in your bathroom. But I can’t very well review the product packaging and not the product, can I? So, I unwrapped, undressed and soaped up! I was impressed. A lot of handmade artisan soaps I’ve tried don’t lather well, or they take a lot of warming up to melt onto your skin. These Terra Dolce soaps lather up well and smell wonderful! They are completely vegan – made with olive, grapeseed, avocado and coconut oils and mixed with shea butter and essential oils.

I also tried the Barefoot Contessa body scrub. Best for very dry skin, this luxe moisturizing scrub is made with shea butter, cane sugar, grape seed oil, coconut oil and soybean oil. It has a strong, floral, green, fresh scent. A great spring or summertime scent! Be sure to use a bath mat in the shower so you don’t slip – this scrub has lots of natural oils.

After my scrub, I tried the Midnight Champagne body butter. This is serious stuff – very thick and creamy. It has an exotic, sexy scent which makes me want to lounge around the house in a silk nightgown and heels (okay yeah right – I’m usually in shorts and a tee shirt). If you have very sensitive skin, be careful because the scrubs and body butters are very heavily scented. (The soaps were fine for my sensitive areas.)
