Announcing…The Beauty Rebellion Project!

Hi guys and gals! I’m super excited to announce the launch of my new baby – The Beauty Rebellion Project.

I love telling people about cruelty-free beauty products, I love to drink (er…maybe I shouldn’t admit that), and I love to party with friends. So – I got together with some friends who also love those things, and together we came up with The Beauty Rebellion Project. We are hosting fun beauty parties throughout the LA area, where fellow beauty junkies and animal lovers can come to get a “Rebel Bag” full of samples of the latest cruelty-free products, sample some great vegetarian fare, enter raffles for more cruelty-free goodies, and of course, get their drink on!

Our first party is a private soiree among friends hosted by myself and Bailey from Makeover Momma. She inspired the whole party idea by giving myself and other gals the chance to throw parties for their friends while sampling tons of beauty goodies. These are just a few of the cruelty-free products the attendees will get to sample:

• Aveda Uruku Bronzing Kit – I’m loving the sunkissed look I get from this bronzer. For the past few weeks, I’ve been wearing nothing but foundation, this bronzer and a little mascara!
• Beautisol – This is my go-to self-tanner when I want to get that sun-bronzed look without the whole you know…risk of skin cancer thing. No orange-y, Jersey Shore business here – it looks completely natural. No one will know unless you tell them!
• Beauty Sprinkles – wonderful, skin-conditioning face mask that you actually mix with yogurt!
• DermaE – lots of great skincare products; I’m loving the problem skin facial scrub and moisturizer with tea tree oil
• Dr. Gram’s Skin 1 Eye Rescue – it depuffs, tightens and helps diminish dark circles
• Elizabeth Grant – The Socializer – two products in one package – one to put on the night after you party, and one to put on the next morning; They de-puff, brighten and tone the skin around your eyes
• Hard Candy – one of the hippest cruelty-free makeup lines out there; Targeted at teens and younger girls, but I’m 30 and I still love it!
• Jeune d’Age Pumpkin Peel – 5% glycolic acid to unclog pores and make your skin super soft – I love this one!
• Kushyfoot tights – Gorgeous colors to give some life to your outfits (my friends tell me I wear too much black); They have massaging soles to help tired feet.
• Peter Thomas Roth Uber Dry Sunscreen – no shine or residue – great for oily or combination skin
• Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn juice – I don’t think I’ll ever stop being obsessed with Sibu Beauty. I recently bought 8 months’ worth of this stuff – no joke. It’s helping my digestion, making my eyelashes and nails longer and I think it’s helping my skin too! Sea buckthorn has Omegas 3, 6, 7 and 9.
• Softlips – did you know Softlips is cruetly-free and they have a new 100% natural line of lip products?
• Tarte Vitamin Infused Lipstick (powered by BORBA) – It’s Tarte, so you already know it’s going to be awesome, but then they added acai, chamomile,  and Vitamins A, C and E? Yes, please!

Our second party will be open to the public and we’re considering it our official “launch party.” We’re still planning out the details, but it will be a benefit for Best Friends Animal Society, held in Los Feliz. We’re planning for August 21st, so if you’re in the LA area, save the date! There will be a grill going with vegetarian goodies, booze, music, raffles and of course, the coveted Rebel Bags!
