A Nourishing Vegan Skincare Line.
Not gonna lie, until I came across this fab little line of products, I thought hemp was (a) something used to make rope, (b) something vegans like to sprinkle on their salads, or (c) something my college roommates used to smoke. Apparently it’s so much more.
Virgin hemp seed oil is touted to be THE most nutritious oil on earth for your skin. And The Wonder Seed, (formerly known as The Healing Seed), packs plenty of it in their line. Also on their impressive list of all natural ingredients is a slew of vitamins, minerals, and amino and fatty acids that are just pure goodness for your skin and hair.
This great combination makes for ideal dermal nutrition that is easily absorbed by, and beneficial to, any skin type. And for all the good ingredients it does pack, The Wonder Seed makes sure to leave out the nasty stuff you don’t want, such as parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, and any animal products or by-products. Your skin seriously does not know what it’s been missing.
Here are my thoughts on their Fair Trade, EcoCert certified, vegan products for face, hair, and body:
Face: The face wash and scrub and lotion are very gentle and suitable for all skin types. Hemp oil claims to help address a wide variety of skin problems, including acne, eczema, rosacea, and psoriasis.
Usually I can only use acne-specific products on my oily face, but my skin took well to these hemp products. It was a welcome break from my usual lineup of drying acne creams, but without the breakouts that a lot of moisturizing products cause.
Hair: The shampoo and conditioner are gentle enough for all hair types, and powerful enough to make a visible difference in your hair. Seriously! After one wash and condition, my hair was softer and smoother to the touch. I had fewer flyaways and less frizz. I literally couldn’t believe it so I used the products again for a second night. The results were even better!
Body: The body wash foamed up nicely and a little went a long way. The lotion was very lightweight, which allowed it to absorb quickly into the skin. The hand cream was thicker and felt like a drink for my thirsty hands and feet.
I feel that, given the super nutritious nature of these products, the benefit you see to your skin and hair will only increase with time.
I absolutely loved the scents on these products, which included sweet orange, fresh jasmine, English daisy, and water lotus. They were delightful but subtle, enticing but clean. They lasted for a few hours but without ever being overpowering. And best of all, they were all-natural and non-synthetic.
