Recently I’ve started working out again. And let me tell you – it’s been a looooooooong time! I’m starting out easy – just walking and some calisthenics and stretches. But, I still get a little sore – especially in my legs. I also have a history of unexplained leg issues (I chalk it up to poor circulation in the lower half). Standing for any length of time means my legs start to ache. If you see me shifting my weight back and forth when I’m standing, it’s not because I have a nervous tic or really need to use the ladies room. It’s actually because my feet and legs hurt when I don’t keep them moving.
I recently tried a gel called Leg Lift by AquaVie. It’s made with horse chestnut extract, chamomile, camphor and menthol. It’s like a cruelty free Icy Hot but the addition of horse chestnut, Vit E, chamomile and calendula, means there may be some long-term skin and vein benefit aside from the immediate relief. I can’t say for sure, but I can say that it feels amazing. It cools and eases the pain. You can actually use it anywhere on your body (just not on your face). I use it for my achey back and shoulders too.
The other thing that helps is a supplement by Life Extension called European Leg Solution with Diosmin. It’s made from the peel of the bitter orange. It strengthens your capillaries and veins. It took a few months for me to see the effects, but it DEFINITELY helped a lot. But, I’m not a doctor, so definitely check with your MD before you try it!

I’m curious as to what does this cream do exactly. I’ve had many people complain about sore legs after an intense workout, but as far as I know there was no cream that could relieve such pains. It’s great to see that there is a solution.
