Too Faced Cat Eyes Palette Review
The puuurr-fect eye shadow and liner palette is here! The Too Faced Cat Eyes will fulfill your wildest makeup needs.
The Cat Eyes comes in a compact leopard print tin that is perfect for bringing along on those long day or nights out (not that you’ll need it since the colors have eight hours of lasting effect!) The tin even includes a mirror for simple application anywhere!
Cat Eyes features 9 new shades with a wide rage of matte, shimmer, and glitter textures that include both warm and cool tones to match any lioness’ undertones. Three of the nine colors can also be used as wet eyeliners—bonus!
Each color aligns with the Cat Eyes theme by having wild names like Kitten, Pussy Cat, Leopard and Meow. All nine of the wildly named colors are arranged to create three color combinations: day, classic, and fashion. The palette includes a “How-To Glamour Guide” to help give you an easy step by step process to achieve each look—and it’s incredibly helpful! I had no trouble following the guide to create the exact look I was going for.
(Day Look)
Speaking of the looks, I LOVED the Day look. The Tiger’s Eye was a perfect shimmery light brown that complimented my olive skin tone and brunette hair. I always love brown hues anyway because they’re subtle on my skin and blend easy for me. At first I wasn’t sure if I would like the Purr light pink color with the other colors in the day look, but it ended up looking very nice.
(Fashion Look)
My second favorite look was the Fashion look. I loved the Panther. The dark chocolate brown color matched my usual eyeliner and also doubled as a great eye shadow. It was the perfect match to make me to fall in love.
(Classic Look)
I wasn’t as fond of the Classic look (too “girly” with the pinks and deep purple for me), but it still was a great color combination and looked really nice. So despite my personal preference, they are all fantastic looks and so easy to create! It’s time to GO WILD, ladies!
Editor’s Note from Jen – here’s my attempt at a quick cat eye as I was rushing out the door. Never claimed to be a makeup artists, but I think it turned out okay! The brush I used was a little big, so I would recommend using a much tinier brush to make sure the cat eye doesn’t get blended into a giant smokey eye!
