Too Faced Gingerbread Girl Melted Matte Lipstick Holiday 2019
Well, the holiday gift sets are upon us! Too Faced always has the cutest gift sets, and this year is no exception. Among their holiday offerings, is a lipstick called Gingerbread Girl. You guys know I love the Melted Matte lipsticks. I even wore “Bitch I’m Too Faced” at my wedding!
I recently tried on the limited edition Gingerbread Girl Melted Matte lipstick ($21 – at Ulta or Too Faced) and I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it might be too orange, but it’s got enough red in it to make me happy. It’s definitely in the warm brown/orange family, but still comes off as a deep red on my light olive skin tone. Perfect to wear to Thanksgiving dinner or other holiday parties. If you want something more copper/orange-y, try Gingerbread Man (Sephora or Too Faced).
The lipstick is not what I would call moisturizing by any stretch, but let’s say it’s less drying than most liquid lipsticks I’ve tried. It has Vitamin E, avocado oil and hyaluronic filling spheres, which makes it more wearable for me. I recently learned that I have aldosterone-deficiency (an adrenal hormone), which explains why my lips and skin are so dehydrated and dry all the time. (I still have acne, so explain to me how that’s fair!)
The lipstick smells like fresh gingerbread, and it’s a really fun shade for the holidays. It is cruelty free, not tested on animals, no ingredients tested on animals and not sold in mainland China (although Too Faced is owned by a parent company that is not CF), and it’s not vegan (beeswax).

I’ve never tried liquid lipsticks— this one sounds pretty cool so I may have to give it a try!
