Too Faced Bronzers – Review and Swatches

Summer is here! I am NOT okay with bathing suit season being here already – hello – I wasn’t ready! But, luckily there are self tanners and bronzers to help me to stop looking like Casper the Friendly Ghost. Too Faced is one of my favorite cruelty free brands, and they do not disappoint when it comes to getting a glow. They sent me a press kit with all of their beautiful bronzers and their adorable pink Quay Australia sunnies.

Too Faced Bronzer Review

With 8 different bronzers to choose from, there is really something for everyone and every skin tone here. Let’s take a closer look at each one.

The Chocolate Soleil bronzers are my go to favorites. They are matte and come in 3 shades – Milk Chocolate Soleil (light), Chocolate Soleil (medium) and Dark Chocolate Soleil (dark). Even though I’m pretty pale, I like to use the medium shade most often. I also use it as a contour shade – it’s perfect without any shimmer. Oh, and did I mention they smell like chocolate? They’re made with REAL antioxidant-rich cocoa powder!

The “bunny shades” are gorgeous. These compacts contain multiple shades that you can use alone or swirl together. I find the Snow and Beach Bunny shades to be a little on the narrow side, and I can’t really dip a large blush brush in one shade, so I like to use them swirled together. The exception to that is the lightest shade in Snow Bunny. I can add that as a highlight with a small brush – I put it at the tops of my cheekbones, on my temples, down the bridge of my nose and above my cupid’s bow. The Snow Bunny bronzer is very shimmery and more cool toned with brightening and color correcting properties. Sun Bunny is the original Too Faced bronzer! It’s a light/medium shimmery bronze combo (they call it a Radiant Finish). Beach Bunny is the darkest of the three and a bit too dark for me. The four shades in the Beach Bunny compact are bronze/ soft peach/ golden ivory/ golden tan.

I have also used these as shimmery earth-toned eyeshadow shades. Going on vacation? You can get a no-fuss makeup look with just one of these compacts and a little mascara!

In the pics above I swatched each Snow Bunny and Beach Bunny shade individually and then blended them all together. The first line on the left is the swirled together swatch!

Pink Leopard is so cute in the compact! At first I was not sure what color this would be, but the pink and bronze tones complement each other and give you a bit of a bronze plus cool shimmery pink blush look. A pretty all in one glow! This one is best for fair to medium skin tones.

The Sweethearts Bronzer in Sweet Tea wins the award for most adorable packaging. It has a European vibe and there are BUNNIES in gold foil! However, the baked shades are too much on the cool, yellow side for me. I’m sure this is perfect for certain skin tones – just not mine.

Finally – I’m feeling bronzed and ready for summer in Los Angeles!
