Nail polish is one of the simplest ways to make a fashion statement. From the most natural neutral to the boldest of hues, this spring and summer there is a hot and trendy tone to flatter every skin tone.
Nude polish was all the rave at New York Fashion Week this year. Shades range from a slight hints of color such as bone or ivory to deeper shades such as creamy beige and light grey. Nude nail polish is a very feminine look that is perfect for formal events or every day wear. I’m in LOVE with this nude called Bourgeoios Beige form a.dorn Nail Paints. A.dorn is vegan, cruelty free, and 4-free. I’ve been getting tons of compliments on this shade!
White nail polish is one of the newest trends in nail polish. This clean color has been catching eyes on the runway and red carpet recently. Wear it alone for a pure and simple look or add subtle nail art to make the white pop even more. Check out vegan and cruelty free nail polish brand, LVX. Their white is called “Fantom.” But be careful – if your nails are not in great shape, white can look a little messy (as you can see from my pic above).
Teal is one of the hottest colors for spring and summer. Blue nails are stunning for everyday wear. Shades vary from Tiffany blue to turquoise to aquamarine. With so many variations to choose from, you can find the perfect shade of teal nail polish to compliment any spring or summer outfit. I didn’t think I’d like this shade from Inglot, but when I tried it in, I fell in love! This teal polish is shade #389.
Pastels are all the rage now in nail polish. Pastel pink is always in style and is the perfect girly nail color. This shade (pictured above) is a nice cool, lavender/pink shade from Inglot (shade #385).
AM: Beauty Sleep, PM: Shopping SpreeBut don’t be afraid to step outside of the box and try some new shades on for size. Mint green shades remind everyone of the classic summer treat, mint chocolate chip ice cream. Pictured above is “AM: Beauty Sleep, PM: Shopping Spree” by NCLA. And the shades of lavender are to die for – from beautiful lilacs to deeper greyish purples.
If pastels aren’t really your thing, then you’re sure to love the coral shades that are so hot this summer. Nothing says tropical or summer as well as a beautiful coral nail polish. The perfect coral shade can make a bold fashion statement while also being safe enough to wear to the office.
Zoya “Katherine” Ombre Syrup Mani by Jessika of Polish Insomniac.Ombre painted nails are in style for spring and summer 2013. Start by painting your whole nail a light color. Once that has dried, add a deeper shade of the same color to the tip of your nail. Carefully blend the polish with a sponge so the colors fade into each other to create the perfect ombre effect. Experiment with different colors to make a completely personalized manicure. Check out the syrup mani (pictured above) from Jessika of Polish Insomniac using Zoya “Katherine” polish. These glitter ombre nails by Eugenia of Geniabeme.com are gorgeous!
Deborah Lippmann Rockin’ Robin courtesy of Jen from The PolishaholicSpeckled nail polish is the latest trend in nail polish. These jelly nail polishes are often sheer with specks of glitter mixed in. When painted on the nail, speckled nail polish dries to give a look similar to a speckled Easter egg. While there are a wide variety of colors available, the most popular are the pastel shades. The photo above is Deborah Lippmann “Rockin’ Robin” courtesy of Jen from The Polishaholic.
Nail polish is one of the cheapest accessories to accent your spring and summer wardrobe. With so many hot and trendy options to choose from, you’ll be tempted to try a new shade on every nail.

Loved them all up until the Ombre Purple. I’m just not much of a glitter fan or liking nails that are too busy. I mentioned this website in my like on FB for the a.dorn color because it is absolutely gorgeous. I have always wanted to try a khaki color, but have never found one; they’re always too grey. Perfecto!
