Anti Aging Skincare from The Body Shop
The Body Shop has a skin care line for just about everyone’s facial care needs: Tea Tree for oily skin, Aloe for sensitive skin, and Pomegranate for wrinkles, to name a few. I’ve sampled products from a number of these lines, but this is the first time I’ve tried Nutriganics – “to address the first sings of aging.” Hmm, I’m embarrassed to say that sort of sounds like me.
It’s never too soon to start taking care of your skin. The sun, chemicals, what we eat, and just plain old wear and tear all contribute to the slow, but definite, aging of our skin. Come on people, let’s fight back! Nutriganics aims to counter and prevent that aging, with a complete line including wash, masks, gels, day and night creams, a mask I reviewed not long ago, and the customer favorite, “Drops of Youth” serum.
I tried out the totally vegan Nutriganics Starter Kit, which included:
-Foaming Facial Wash
-Refreshing Toner
-Smoothing Day Cream
-Smoothing Night Cream
The Foaming Facial Wash is rich and smooth. A little goes quite a long ways (I accidentally used waaaay too much!) which is always a good thing for the wallet. It left face clean and smooth – a great start to the line.
The Refreshing Toner was a bit surprising. Most toners I’ve used have been more the astringent, tightening type. This one was almost like an oil. This makes sense, since it’s made with Community Fair Trade organic babassu oil. It left my face REALLY soft. If you have skin that’s at all dry, I can see where you’d love this toner.
The Smoothing Day Cream and Smoothing Night Creams were also good. The Day Cream is heavier than most day creams I’ve used, but probably therefore better and more effective and targeting wrinkles and age spots. I like a heavy night cream, so I was definitely pleased in that department.
These products are best for dry, normal, or combo skin. If you have super crazy oily skin, (like me), you might choose just to use one of the products (I’d recommend one of the creams) instead of the whole line. However, The Body Shop still has your back – I recommend trying out their Tea Tree or Seaweed lines for oily skin instead. (Insider tip – I kinda swear by both.) Remember that all Body Shop products are cruelty free and vegetarian, and their extremely helpful staff (both online and on the phone) is happy to tell you which products are vegan.

I love when skincare companies put out kits like this where you have a small sample of several products to try. This one sounds good for my aging skin type. I’ve only used body products from them. I’ll look at this next time I’m at the mall. Stacie xo

I love The Body Shop. I will have to check these out. The Body Shop is one of the first places I purchased from when I started buying my own skincare/beauty products.
