Models Own Cheat Day Collection Review - Which Metallic Lipsticks Do You Like featured by popular Los Angeles cruelty free beauty blogger My Beauty Bunny

Question of the Week: What do you think of the trendy metallic lipsticks? Tell us your faves!

Metallic lipsticks are everywhere and I think it looks so good on most people. In general though, I don’t love how metallic lipsticks looks on me, EXCEPT when it’s a warm copper color. I’ve been loving Heatwave from the Urban Decay Beached collection and Frosting and Meringue from the Models Own Cheat Day collection.

Frosting is just gorgeous – super warm copper – almost like an orangey pink – a very unique color that I adore. The Models Own Cheat Day Lip Glaze lippies have a little glitter added and they’re so pretty but they can be quite drying. So I don’t wear them all that often. The rest of the Cheat Day collection is definitely worth a look too. The Cheat Day palette is fun and has plenty of easy to wear colors. The highlighter palette is perfect for younger girls who want a little more glitter and shimmer.

The Urban Decay Vice lipstick in Heatwave is ever so slightly drying but not as bad as a liquid lipsticks can be, so I’ve been rocking it quite often lately. In the pic above, I swatched 100 Degrees (a sheer coral), Heatwave (metallic copper) and Tower 1 (shifty metallic peach – VERY sheer).

I’m also completely obsessed with the Beached palette. The warm shimmery coppers and deep ocean blues are to die for! I do wish they’d have added some matte shades in there, but otherwise it’s perfection.

Shades:

  • Salt (ivory satin)
  • Heatwave (metallic rust)
  • 16th St. (metallic bronze-gold)
  • Plunge (deep metallic blue-green)
  • Blaze (light metallic peach with pink shift)
  • Daybreak (deep reddish terra-cotta matte)
  • Double Dip (bright metallic teal)
  • Wedge (deep metallic brown-copper)
