Put those same neutrals you wear every single day to work in hiding this fall. You wouldn’t want to make them jealous with Youngblood Mineral Cosmetic’s fall 2012 color on your eyelids. Are you ready to amp up those nudes?
Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics has taken a cue from the sensually sophisticated streets of Paris where neutral is anything but boring. Youngblood products are paraben-free, talc-free, oil-free, fragrance-free and cruelty free. The sexiest looks have an element of surprise, just like Youngblood Cosmetic’s Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quad in Moulin Rouge.
The compact includes four mineral eyeshadows (as described by Youngblood):
Can-Can – a shimmery caramel-peach
Revue – a pearlized vanilla
Cabarets – an alluring dark chocolate shade
Red Light – a show-stopping matte orange-red
If you’re not used to using a lot of color in your make up routine, the red eye shadow can almost stick out in the compact. I’m used to using very subtle neutral colors because it’s just my style. But have no fear! This look is extremely easy and still very natural.
After using Red Light, I became more comfortable because Youngblood Mineral eyeshadows blend so well on your eyelids as well as each other. I really loved how Red Light, Can-Can and Carbarets looked so alluring and mysterious together, but not over the top. I used Red Light primarily on my eyelid and used the Can-Can and Cabarets in my crease. I used Revue underneath my eyebrows as a highlight. I wore it to work and felt it spiced up my usual make up routine without making me look like I was wearing a trend I didn’t know how to wear.
The Incredible Wear Gel Liner in Sienna (metallic bronze) is a subtle shimmery bronze that blends in with the palette colors although a black liner would make the colors pop even more. Youngblood gel liner is super smooth and incredibly easy to apply compared to other brands. It’s not goopy or thick and you won’t end up with weird uneven gel liner bumps in your eye liner look. It also lasts throughout the entire day.
The Youngblood Mineral Lipstick in Blushing Nude is a versatile nude that is able to go with a lot of other looks besides just these colors. I’m normally not a fan of nude lipstick because I feel like it always make my lips look lighter than my tan skin. This nude has just the right amount of pink undertones where it makes me lips look warm instead of just making my lips disappear. You can outline this color with a slightly darker rose liner or apply a clear or sheer pink gloss to really make your lips stand out.
