I’m really excited by this line of cruelty free baby products and I don’t even have a baby! Zodiac Baby is a line of paraben-free, cruelty-free, phthalate-free, PEG-free, sulfate-free, 99% natural, pH balanced baby products in scents to match your baby’s zodiac sign.
The company sent me the shampoo/body wash and the lotion in Taurus (my star sign). I am in LOVE with the scent – it’s a fresh, clean, light scent of bamboo and lemongrass. This doesn’t smell like “Thai restaurant lemongrass” – it’s much lighter – it almost smells like orange/lemon citrus to me.
The packaging is adorable and I would definitely give this as a gift to new parents. My little nephew is going to be born this year, and he’ll be getting some for sure!
After using the shampoo, my hair was soft, shiny and bouncy. The lotion was perfect – not too thick or too thin, and it wasn’t sticky or greasy.
The only drawback is that the scent doesn’t last very long, and I’d prefer the bottles didn’t have wide mouths – it’s kind of hard to control how much comes out. Other than that, I’d recommend this to ANYONE – baby or no baby!

Hey Jen! Thanks for this! It comes at the perfect time for me as I’m trying to decide whether to continue using the California Baby Calendula line for my baby girl. I’m sure you’re aware of the recent changes to the ingredients, as it caused a major controversy with moms like me that chose the line based on the ingredients. Here’s a link to the changes:

I wanted to get your take on it. I’m open to using something new and may check out this Zodiac line. She doesn’t have any skin conditions that require special formulas, I just like to use safe, natural and yummy stuff on her. I also have a 7 year old boy who would love to have his own zodiac sign products!

Hi Olive! Thanks for the info – I hadn’t heard about that. Since I don’t have kids, I’m not usually in the know about baby products, but now that I have a little nephew coming, I probably will be!! I thought California Baby was a great brand. I looked at the link you posted but I don’t understand which ingredients are questionable. Can you clarify?
