Amazon Prime Day Beauty and Self Care Shopping Guide
Gregg and I have been together for about seven years, and we’re finally getting married (after being together for 8 years and engaged for 2 1/2!) this October. But, back when I was a single lass, I felt lonely ALL THE TIME. I noticed that I would clean the house, put on some good music, buy flowers, light candles, and prepare good food only if a date was coming over. Then I thought about it, and I was like why the hell am I not doing these things for myself? Why does someone need to come over for me to make my space nice and cozy? So I started doing those things for myself and it made a huge difference in my happiness and confidence.
When you hear the words health, wellness, and fitness, we typically think of working out, eating fresh organic wholesome foods and living a healthy lifestyle. Yet, these things just begin to skim the surface of what living a healthy lifestyle actually looks like.
For me, living a healthy lifestyle starts with one’s personal well-being, which in my opinion begins with self-care. Self-care is considered the practice of taking care of your own mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health. By starting with self-care, you’re setting the foundation for overall wellness because you’re actually taking the time to put yourself first and focus on your own needs.
If you think about it, self-care can be as simple as running a warm bath, meditating, washing your face, diffusing essential oils, journaling, doing some yoga, and/or simply working out. Even pouring yourself a glass of wine is a form of self-care (if you’re a drinker), so drink up if that makes you feel good! Above all else, self-care it’s whatever makes you happy and relaxes you!
While too many women believe that putting themselves first might sound selfish, it’s actually one of the highest forms of self-care and self-love you can give yourself. When we feel good, we have more confidence, feel sexier, more relaxed, and can see things clearly because we’re starting to see changes taking place not only on the inside but the outside as well. Take the time to determine what it is you actually want and need in your life and start taking inspired action every day to make it happen.
When you focus on your own health, you’re overall well-being and stay fit, you’re setting yourself up for success. The best thing is that it’s not one size fits all and you can make all three things work for you. Your version of health, wellness, and fitness are different than everyone else’s and that’s what makes it so special.

I highly recommend treating yourself to some fresh flowers whenever you can. But you can still have beautiful pops of color around the house with faux or silk flowers. I recently reviewed Nearly Natural and I LOVE their selection. I did a search and discovered them on Amazon. This is a pretty one that is going on my wish list!
I also highly recommend doing some form of meditation. Even if it’s just five or ten minutes here or there. I have been loving the Unplug Meditation app. I’ve also tried chilling out by playing around with this beautiful Tibetan singing bowl. It not only makes a pretty objet d’art, it also makes sounds that my brain seems to like! I got mine from Shanti Bowl.
Massage Ball Rollers for Sore Muscle Relief | Acupressure Balls for Back, Neck, Foot Pain – who DOESN’T have a sore spot either just from you know…life…or from working out a little too hard and heavy? Parasilk Paraffin and Coconut Oil Hand and Foot Treatments – I reviewed these recently and they’re really great for dry skin or achey joints or muscles. You just pop them in the microwave and relax for ten minutes. They are buy one get one free during Amazon Prime Day (just put two in your cart and you should see the deal)! You can use each one up to four times, so one set gives you about a month’s worth of pampering.
GABA Chewables – When I really need to relax and chill, I take these GABA chewable tablets. They work like a charm to ease my anxious or stressed out mind. I haven’t had any side effects, but do your research and check with your doc first. I also really like Quality of Life Serenelle – it has GABA, lemon balm, L-theanine AND ashwagandha to calm your overactive brain. I’m also experimenting with CBD – look for a blog article on that coming soon!
Gurunanda Wall Plug In Aromatherapy Diffuser – Make your space smell like a spa! I love this little essential oil diffuser because you can use it just about anywhere, and you don’t need any water! Affirmators – 50 Affirmation Cards to Help You Help Yourself – without the Self-Helpy-Ness! Keep a set of these adorable cards around to remind you to BE NICE TO YOURSELF! How often do you catch yourself saying mean things to yourself that you would NEVER say to a friend? This is a nice little reminder to stop that!
I have really been into binaural beats lately. They are tones that can relax you and put you into a different mood so easily. If you have Amazon Prime, you can stream some for free. I’m listening to them as I write this post. Basically they are like an auditory version of an optical illusion. You hear two tones that combine to make a third tone in your mind. I think they are really good for stress relief. It seems like the scientific studies are a bit mixed, but I can tell you that they make me feel great. So try em and see for yourself. For best results, use headphones.
I don’t know about you, but I start to feel very anxious and/or depressed if I don’t work out. Even if it’s just a little cycling, an exercise tape or a walk around the block, I need to keep moving or my brain freaks out. Even if you don’t have a lot of space, you can get yourself a yoga or exercise mat, some resistance bands, a set of small weights, an exercise ball, or a workout dvd (you can also find free streaming exercise videos online).

I’ve been using a CBD hemp oil for sleep and it’s working, I also use the Calm app for sleep music and stories. I need the paraffin gloves! This is a great list with so many diverse items, thank you!
