Beauty Talk Radio Show

Last week on Alayna’s Beauty Talk ‘N More, Dawn McCoy from Beauty Frosting and Tyna Werner from We Heart This talked about their favorite Valentine’s Day products. I wasn’t able to make it because I was (and still am) sick – boooo! But, I had the ladies swing by my house to pick up the beauty products I wanted to share with you.

Whether you’re single and need a little spa day to yourself, you’re having a wild night out with the girls, going on a blind date, or having a date with your significant other, here are your cruelty free spa and beauty must haves!

Valentine's Day Beauty

Not all of the products discussed on Alayna’s Beauty Talk are cruelty free, so I’ll break down the cruelty free BEST for ya!

Limited Edition Kiss My Face body washes – Scrub a dub dub – before your big date or maybe even WITH your date! Early to Bed, Early to Rise, Peaceful Patchouli and Anti-Stress. They smell wonderful, are cruelty free, vegan, gluten free, SLS free, paraben free, phthalate free and contain no artificial fragrances. Best thing is, you can find them at your local drugstore or Whole Foods and they are less than $10!

Gabriel Cosmetics nail polish – Classic Red and Sangria – You’d better believe I’ll be rocking these nail polishes this month! I can’t decide between the vampy red (Sangria) and the cherry red (Classic Red), so I’ll have to wear them both this month! Gabriel Cosmetics nail polishes are cruelty free and 5-free (no phthalates, formaldehyde, toluene, DBP or camphor).

Zuzu Luxe Shades of Passion lip palette – This red lip palette has four cruelty free shades of red lipstick and brush, so you can mix your own perfect red! Sometimes a red is a little too warm or cool for your skintone, so this palette lets you make your own perfect color. Perfect to go with your red nails and sexy date-night outfit!

Tarte MATTEify palette – Tarte’s new palette is gorgeous on the outside and on the inside. Their first ever all matte palette has 8 new limited-edition eyeshadows and 1 blush in universally-flattering shades. Amazonian colored clay mattifies as it helps control oil for better application, longer wear and truer color that won’t fade, crease or budge. Color-correcting Amazonian colored clay brightens, evens and soothes skin on the cheeks and eyelids while the velvety formula glides on smoothly without settling into fine lines. There are several pale colors, so great for the natural look (which you can vamp up by applying bright lipstick) or you can use the brown, black and plum to liven things up for a sexy, smoky eye.

Palette includes:
– eyeshadow in dream in chocolate (black brown)
– eyeshadow in view from the taupe (taupe)
– eyeshadow in peach for the stars (peach)
– eyeshadow in sand out from the crowd (warm beige)
– eyeshadow in pink outside the box (soft pink)
– eyeshadow in rose to the occasion (rosy pink)
– eyeshadow in don’t stand black (black)
– eyeshadow in two plums up

LUSH bath bombs and gift sets – whether you’re rolling solo or having bathtime with your honey, LUSH has the perfect products for a great night in.

The giant Love Locket is scented with jasmine, vanilla, neroli, and gardenia. Use each half and the center for three separate baths (each piece is big enough to stand on its own), or sink in with the whole thing all at once. The outside layer is speckled with paper hearts that will float out to the surface of the pink water, and the hidden center releases a smattering of shiny red agar seaweed hearts to create a spectacular bath time display. The sensual blend of vanilla, jasmine and neroli essential oils top off the luxurious and indulgent experience.

The Neon Love gift set includes LUSH’s limited edition Neon Love soap, a fresh, fruity bar made with soya yogurt to nourish skin and passion fruit juice to cleanse. All products in this set are vegan. It also comes with four year-round favorites for the bath, shower and body: Red Fun (a citrus scent men and women love), Bubble Gum Lip Scrub (get those lips ready for kissing!), Turkish Delight Shower Smoothie (like a dry skin mask for your whole body – put it on in the shower, leave on for a few minutes and then rinse off), and the Dusk Till Dawn massage bar (lemon/orange scent)!

The Kiss lip balm is a colored, shimmery gloss in a cute little tin. It’s vegan, preservative-free, highly moisturizing and softening, with subtle color and lots of shine. The base of Fair Trade shea and cupuacu melt on to soften and hydrate lips while almond and organic mandarin oils bring lip-smacking flavor. Organic agave syrup smoothes on for a high shine finish, boosted by PET-free sparkles. There’s even a dash of guarana seed powder, one of nature’s boosters, to make your lips feel plump, soft and absolutely kissable.

Hopefully you have someone who can give you a V-Day massage. If not, give yourself a little rub down with the Tender is the Night massage bar. The perfume is full of natural essential oils, including vanilla absolute, jasmine absolute and ylang ylang oil. This sensual shea and murumuru butter bar is made with an aeration technique that allows the butters to melt easily onto skin for a smooth, tender massage.

And in case you missed it, you can watch the show in it’s entirety here:
