I still don’t know why my face can be so oily and the skin on my body can be so dry, but Shea Body Works solves the dryness problem! Their Happy Hands and Feet Balm is super hydrating. It’s made with unrefined shea butter, organic coconut oil, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, castor oil, and avocado oil and essential oils, and it really feels like buttah! No mineral oil, dyes, parabens, or other junk. It comes unscented, or you can get orange, petitgrain, lavender or peppermint. My favorite scent is peppermint which feels so nice on my achey feet at night.
Shea Body Works founder, Saidah, was badly burned as a child. Her mom treated her with a combination of natural healing oils, butters and gels. She healed nicely! Forty years later, as an adult and with a daughter of her own, Saidah used her mom’s recipes to help her daughter’s dehydrated skin. With this much success, she decided to bring these healing recipes to the masses, and Shea Body Works was born!
Shea Body Works uses only unrefined, raw, fair trade shea butter that is rich with Vitamins A and E. Natural unrefined raw shea butter has been known to help with skin issues such as extreme dryness, psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, blemishes, wrinkles, stretch marks, scars and scrapes. It also make a great foot balm, cuticle oil and massage oil! A little goes a long way with these oil-based products. And of course they are cruelty free and vegan. Check out the Shea Body Works site – they also have hair and facial products.
