Have you ever noticed your hair looking dull, flat or just kind of sad? I noticed that my hair wasn’t curling at the ends like it used to – and it just sort of looked – well – blah! I got a haircut and that helped, but something was still off. I tend to use a lot of products to keep my hair smooth and shiny. Over time, some of those ingredients can cause build-up, and I think that was what was making my hair look dull.

My first impression was that the packaging was beautiful and the lemonade-scent was amazing (definitely real lemon oil in there)! It’s actually made with lemon, lime and orange oils, as well as lemon powder. The rinse itself is thin – not goopy or gel-like in consistency. The directions say to shampoo and condition as you normally do, and then finish with the Lemon Rinse. Leave it on for a few seconds and then rinse. They recommend using it once or twice a week to seal the cuticle, keep your hair shiny and remove build-up.
I tried using it as directed, but I found that I preferred to shampoo first, then use the Lemon Rinse, and then follow up with conditioner. I felt that it cleansed better before conditioning and I like to have some sort of conditioner at the end, so my hair will be softer. I’m sure everyone will have their own opinion on this! Either way, it will make your hair look and feel healthier while it prevents frizz.
I was so impressed with how clean my hair felt after I used the rinse! It wasn’t dry or stripped – it just felt clean. After I let it air dry, I was happy to see that my curls were bouncier and my hair looked shinier and more – happy! It didn’t affect my dark brunette color at all. In the past, I looked for a shampoo with a lot of sulfates and cleansers to “detox” my hair, but that almost always strips color. This instant clarifying treatment is a perfect solution, with no sulfates, parabens, BPA, phthalates, synthetic fragrances/colors or DEA/TEA/MEA. Lemon Rinse will definitely be on my must-buy list when I run out! Plus, the price is RIGHT – only $10 for 13.3 ounces!

This Lemon Rinse sounds like a good product to try and your explanation on how the use of different hair products over time builds up and reduces the hair lustre makes absolute sense because I have experienced this myself and I used a hair product that restored it but I haven’t been able to find the product again since then.
