Thursdays with Cheeky Rox: Too Faced x Nikkie Tutorials Power of Makeup Palette Review & Tutorial
Cruelty free makeup brand, Too Faced Cosmetics has been on a roll this year. They’ve released some AMAZING new products including the Sweet Peach Palette and Peanut Butter & Jelly Palette… but the list doesn’t stop there – the hottest thing on the market right now is The Power of Makeup Palette. This Too Faced palette is a collaboration with YouTuber Nikkie Tutorials. As an aspiring YouTuber myself, I really love seeing the #YouTubeFam doing exciting things!
The Power of Makeup Palette contains 9 beautiful eyeshadows, two blushes, a bronzer and a highlight. The eyeshadows are stunning. I love the color range because you get everything from neutrals to shimmer shades and the palette has both a good cream shade and a stark black which are definitely necessities for me!
The blushes in the palette are from the Too Faced Love Flush collection – aren’t the heart-shapes adorable?! Not only are they super cute, both of the shades are very pretty and totally wearable for everything from natural to glam looks.
I really love that they included the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer in the palette. This is one of my all-time favorite bronzers because it blends evenly, it’s nicely pigmented and it has the most perfect neutral undertone. Having it within this palette is just icing on the cake.
The last product in the palette is the Champagne Truffle Highlight. This highlight has a light pink undertone so it will be perfect if you have fair or cool-toned skin. Personally, I find that golden or warm-toned highlighters tend to work better for me but when I tried Champagne Truffle, I was pleasantly surprised. Although it does have a pink undertone, I still feel like I can pull it off and feel a little bit more like Nikkie Tutorials 😉
The Power of Makeup Palette also comes with a little bundle of Too Faced Goodies. In the bundle, you get a full-size Too Faced Sketch Marker (Yes, I said “full-sized”!), a mini Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, a mini Shadow Insurance Primer and a pot of the Too Faced Glamour Dust in the shade Gliterally.
I absolutely love the fact that they included a full size liner – who doesn’t love a full-size product within a bundle?! Not only that, it’s a really great product for getting a precise line every single time.
The Better Than Sex Mascara is one of my all-time faves and the one that comes in the bundle is actually purple! Colored mascaras are super trendy right now so I think it’s cool that Too Faced included a purple mascara for us to play around with.
Shadow Insurance is one of their best selling primers so of course they had to include it in the bundle. This would be great to throw in your bag for travel and use with The Power of Makeup Palette.
Last but certainly not least, the Glamour Dust! This shade is just stunning! It’s an iridescent silver with holographic details. I’d consider this a very “Nikkie Tutorials” shade of glitter. It’s great for patting over the middle of your lids and adding some extra sparkle to any look.
