For this holiday/Christmas look my eyes were inspired by angelic, fairy-like glamour (think of the angels at the top of your tree). I went with light colors: whites, pinks and a touch of sparkle. As it’s the holidays, I decided it needed a little drama too. So, I added a bold red lip to make it even more festive.
This is a look you can wear all-round the holidays, mix it up! Leave your lip nude for more chilled out, family dinner or add false lashes for a dramatic NYE party…it’s up to you!
What products did I use?
Please note: All the makeup I use is cruelty free, however some brands are owned by parent companies that do test on animals.
• Urban Decay Naked original palette shades Virgin and Sin
• Collection Fast Stroke Defining Lash Mascara
• Sleek Brow Kit in Light
• Nude by Nature Luminous Sheer Liquid Foundation in Shell Beige
• KIKO Long Lasting Wet and Dry Eyeshadow in 218
• Kylie Cosmetics Lipkit in Mary Jo K
• Collection Extreme Bold 24H Felt Tip Calligraphy Liner
• KIKO Full Coverage Concealer
• Collection Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liner (silver)
• KIKO Bronzer Powder
As with all my tutorials, don’t feel like you need to go on a splurge for every single one of these products (although if you can afford, be my guest). Just mix and match with similar products you already own.
Let’s begin…
1. Apply a little concealer to under eye and eyelid, not much, we are just giving a base for the eye makeup.
2. Taking Virgin with a fluffy brush apply shadow to the whole of the lid and brow bone.
3. Using Sin apply to the crease and blend high onto the brow bone with a fluffy brush.
4. Use a damp flat brush to apply more Virgin just to the eyelid to create a more solid white.
5. Take a fluffy but quite sturdy brush (I used the fluffy side of the naked palette brush) and apply the KIKO shadow to the outer corner of the lid, blend into the center of the eyelid and half way along the crease.
6. Apply a little of the glitter liner at the very inner corner of the eye and then apply to the inner corner of the eyelid, taking it a quarter of the way across and use your finger to dab gently until it appears blended into the shadow.
7. Take the flat brush and use it to blend some of the KIKO shadow across the lower lash line.
8. Apply a gentle winged liner, don’t go mad, keep it quite thin.
9. Apply mascara, taking care to avoid any lumps.
10. Use the sleek brow kit to outline brows and make them appear fuller.
11. Use the foundation and concealer to even out skin tone and conceal any blemishes.
12. Draw around the outline of your lips using the Lipkit liner and fill in using the liquid lipstick.
13. I applied bronzer here, starting from the top of the forehead and moving down onto the cheek bones. However, on second thoughts blusher may have complimented the angelic eye makeup better, so experiment!
I really loved creating this look for you, it’s so pretty and I just love the sparkles! I’d really like to see your creations/experiments using this look! Don’t be shy, tag me in your photos on Instagram so I can see!
