As we like to mention on this blog, roughly 60% of what you put on your skin or scalp is absorbed into your blood stream. So, naturally (haha, a pun), I like to put non-harmful substances on my skin. Sometimes I’ll use an oil, but they can be just a touch too messy sometimes. Ever put an oil on your face and then try to go to sleep? Makes for quite the yucky pillowcase in the morning. Creams and lotions can be equally as heavy and gross. So how about a balm?
Natural U has two different balms at the moment, the All Purpose Balm and the Daily Body Rub. Natural U balms are handmade in the United Kingdom and are 100% organic and against animal testing (yay!). Both balms are shea butter, sunflower, and beeswax based. The Daily Body Rub balm is a moisturizing balm including peppermint and tea trea oil to ease and relax sore muscles. It’s no Tiger Balm, but after a long day on your feet, rub a little bit of this balm on the soles of your feet and then throw them up while you watch your favorite TV show. Man, is it relaxing!
But the real winner, is the All Purpose Balm. I began using the All Purpose balm just before my graduation and, boy, am I glad I did. My legs have been rather ashy lately (maybe from the lack of air circulation in classrooms and my apartment?) and my usual drugstore lotion was not cutting it! I decided to try the balm, and being the Taurus that I am, I was wary. I thought, “Oh man, me legs will be so sticky!” And at first, they were. Then about two minutes passed and my skin felt like cashmere.
The next week I managed to get myself sick from stress. A little dab of this stuff around my super raw, dry nose, and I was all hydrated and pretty again. The next week? Severely wind-burned lips in the Caribbean? Wasn’t even worried, I had my Natural U All Purpose Balm. Seriously ladies and gents, this stuff is the Super Man of all skin hydrators.
The best part? Because every ingredient is safe to be consumed by the body, this product can be used nearly anywhere on the body and by everybody! Babies, toddlers, sensitive skin, oily skin, face, lips, eyes, etc. But, no this does not mean you can actually eat it, so don’t be weird guys.
I have to admit, I haven’t been this taken with an all natural product since…well…ever!
