New Nubian Heritage Products At ULTA
Nubian Heritage, the award-winning and cruelty-free beauty brand, just launched three new collections exclusively to ULTA stores! This launch includes a ton of amazing products that I’ve been trying over the course of a couple of weeks – so let’s jump right into the breakdown.
With this launch, Nubian Heritage introduced several new combos including Patchouli & Buriti, Abyssinian & Chia Seed and my personal favorite, Coconut & Papaya! Each collection contains similar skincare items such as soaps, lotions, and deodorants and while the scents are all very different, there is one common denominator between each and every one of the products – MOISTURE. To give you a little perspective on my skin type: I am from Florida and currently live in North Carolina and despite the constant humidity in these two states, I’m still always EXTREMELY dry! It is such a battle to find moisturizing products that last more than 5 minutes until my skin soaks them all in and is left just as dry as it was before. With that being said, I am pleasantly surprised with the results I’ve had with these collections!
For starters, I’d like to point out the main stars in my opinion – the soaps. I know you are probably skeptical after seeing these pictures and noticing that they look like ordinary bars of soap…. but they are honestly so much more! I’ve found that soaps are usually the main culprit of causing stripped and dry skin; however, the second I lathered the Abyssinian & Chia Seed bar soap on my body, I felt an immediate difference! I could really feel the moisture sinking into my skin instead of just leaving a soapy film on the surface of my body. I also LOVED this smell, not only for me, but my boyfriend as well! It is definitely gender-neutral and leaves a clean, piney scent on the skin.
I also want to give two thumbs up to the deodorants in these collections. I am an avid self-tanning junkie (typically reapply every 1-2 weeks) and I’ve noticed that my armpits are always the first places to get stripped of “my” bronze color, resulting in not only awkward white patches, but also brown peeling around the edges of my underarms – so not cute. The Coconut & Papaya deodorant gave me over 12 hours of moisture and left a beautiful scent that I noticed throughout the day. With this in mind, however, I can’t attest to this product holding up in extreme workout sweat, but for everyday use it seemed to do the job – all while prolonging my tan lifespan!
Last but not least, I’d like to mention the Patchouli & Buriti Bath Bombs. I was hesitant to switch out my trusty Lush bath bombs for these little guys, but again, I was pleasantly surprised. While they don’t look like much out of the packaging nor do they bubble up with bright rainbow colors and sparkles, these bath bombs are jam packed with some amazing ingredients that left my skin feeling silky smooth. I found myself in total relaxation mode as I soaked up the beautiful essential oil blend.
Long story short: if you’re craving moisture and looking for a cruelty-free, all natural (not to mention affordable) line of body products, the Nubian Heritage collections are for you. Scents are so subjective to personal preference, so I recommend visiting your local ULTA Beauty and checking them out in order to pick your perfect at-home spa aroma (treat yourself– you deserve it!)
