I found this amazing facial oil after reading tons of great reviews for a more expensive product that contained rosehip seed oil. I did a little research and came across this wonderful product that has not just rosehip seed oil, but also: organic calendula oil, organic jojoba oil, vitamin E oil and essential oils of organic lavender, carrot seed and helichrysum.
You might be thinking – why would I put a bunch of oil on my face?
Essential oils balance the skin and stop it from over-producing oil. When your skin is constantly dried out and damaged from scrubs, toners and creams with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid, it can start to produce more oil, which starts a vicious cycle. Just be sure to use products with essential oils – not fatty oils. I have combination skin and this stuff actually helps prevent breakouts and it’s been great at healing scars and damaged skin from past breakouts. It’s better to use this product at night because it does create a bit of shine. Sometimes I use a smaller amount on my really dry and damaged skin areas before putting on an oil-free moisturizer and then my mineral makeup in the morning.
You only need a little bit for your whole face, or you can dab it on areas that need it. Plus, it’s relatively inexpensive – $12.25 for 1 oz. – which will last forever since it’s concentrated. You can get it at www.mountainroseherbs.com. Good stuff.
