My eyebrows have been Brooke Shields thick my entire life, but I recently had a bad waxing job and needed help ASAP. I like to rock the natural look so I wanted to try something besides a traditional eyebrow pencil. Browder by PÜR is an eyebrow powder, which provided a perfect opportunity to subtly fill in those scattered problem spots along my brow line. Plus, PÜR is a 100% cruelty free company that produces everything right here in the USA, making you look and feel good using their products!
The Browder comes in three colors- blonde, medium brown, and brunette. I used the medium brown to match the color of my brows. The applicator is a soft, coned tip that made it easy to precisely fill in wherever I needed coverage.
A piece of advice for using this product is to tap the brush before applying; it can get a little messy if you don’t. The first time I tried applied it without getting rid off the excess powder I got powder all over my brow bone and had to start over. When I got the right amount on the applicator, I brushed up my hairs and stroked it through my brows onto my skin. It’s a fiber formula – so it can really fill in sparse areas.
To test it’s reliability, I wore it through a long day of classes and meetings. The initial application was quick and easy- just what I need with such a crazy schedule so early in the morning. The Browder stayed on without smudging for most of the day, except when I accidentally rubbed my face to discover that it easily smudges. Otherwise, it lasted me through my busy, active day trekking across campus! The product itself is cute, small, and compact to carry in your purse for touch ups throughout the day as well. It is also hassle free when it comes time to take it off. A simple makeup remover wipe or some soap and water will do the trick!
The powder allows for a natural look that doesn’t seem “drawn on”. Browder was a fun product to try as I expand my eyebrow horizons. I enjoyed the product and would use it again for touch ups and filling in problem spots on my brow line. I’m also going to try it out as a eyeliner the next time I rock a smoky eye!
