Rilastil is a cruelty free skincare brand that was created by the Ganassini family in Italy in 1972, but has roots that go much farther back. In 1910, Professor Domenico Ganassini was the first person to synthesize niacin, receiving international and academic awards. Rilastil launched in the ’70s with it’s first iconic product, the Stretch Mark Cream. Ever since, Rilastil has been known for “re-elasticizing” the skin. The Hydrotenseur line was born 2004 to combat wrinkles and skin laxity.
Rilastil commits to testing all products for the presence of the five heavy metals most responsible for skin sensitization: nickel, cobalt, chromium, palladium, and mercury, up to 1 part per billion. By eliminating all detectable traces of these metals, product tolerance increases, ensuring comfort for even the most sensitive skin.
Rilastil has over 100 products, so after going through many of them, I picked out the ones I thought would be best for my skin. If you need help choosing, I recommend trying out the interactive Rilastil SkinCare Advisor.
Deliskin RS Anti-Redness Soothing Fluid Cream – A lightweight calming fluid that treats inflammation to help reduce chronic redness and soothe irritation. Suitable for normal to oily skin. Clinical studies show a 40% reduction in redness after one hour while increasing the skin’s protective ability by more than 350%. This is a really nice cream to have as a beauty editor – I never know when something I’m reviewing is going to make my skin go nuts!
Daily Care Cleansing And Purifying Gel – A refining foaming cleanser to refresh and purify without dryness or irritation. Suitable for normal to oily skin types. The cleanser was nice, but I didn’t care for the added perfumes. My sensitive skin didn’t seem to mind it, but in general, I don’t like perfumes in skincare. I think the “smell good” practice is a lot more popular in Europe. Different cultures!
Daily Care Toner – A refreshing alcohol-free toner to hydrate and soothe the skin. This toner further clarifies the skin while preparing it for treatments, while soothing inflammation and increasing hydration. I felt this was a bit strong for my sensitive skin. For those with normal to oily skin (no sensitivity or rosacea), this will be a hit.
Hydrotenseur Concentrate In Drops – An anti-aging serum that fights wrinkles, and increases firmness. Suitable for all skin types. This serum contains 21 power active ingredients help increased healthy collagen and elastin production for smoother, more toned skin. This is a powerful serum, and good for oily skin, since it doesn’t clog pores. I would love to see a reduction in perfume with this one, but otherwise, it’s a great anti-aging, acne-prevention serum. You can use it alone or with a moisturizer.
Micro Eye Contour Cream – A refining eye cream to help correct fine lines, dark circles, and puffiness. This cream contains 26 active ingredients that help normalize cellular functions, preventing and correcting the formation of lines, while increasing circulation to diminish puffiness and dark circles. A medium-thick eye cream that is great for all skin types. If you are prone to millia (bumps under the eyes), I recommend a thinner formulation, but this is a good medium – not overly thick, but not super thin either.
Daily Care Soothing Micellar Solution
One of my favorite products! I use this morning and night to cleanse and soothe my skin. This gentle water-like cleansing fluid thoroughly dissolves impurities and makeup with no rinsing or rubbing. Daily Care Soothing Micellar Solution helps calm skin by blocking its histamine reaction, stopping the inflammation cascade that leads to premature aging before it starts.

Great post, I guess this is why Italians are so beautiful. They all sound like great skincare products and being cruelty free is even better. It sounds like they are suitable for sensitive skin too which is always a bonus 🙂
