Derma E – Cruelty Free and Vegan Body Lotion Review
It took me WAY longer than it should to find out that Derma E also had body and hair products in addition to their skincare. Where have I been? I guess busy with other things, but talk about a nice surprise! Derma E makes some fabulous skincare products that I reach for often so exploring their different categories was almost a MUST. Aside from body wash, vegan body lotion is another must for me so trying out Derma E Body Lotion only made sense as the perfect place to start.
All Derma E Body Lotions are cruelty free and vegan. They also contain no soy, gluten or lanolin, making it a safer option for those with intolerances. They offer five different options depending on what you’re looking for, and I narrowed it down to three that I thought I would personally enjoy: Vitamin E Fragrance Free Therapeutic Body Lotion,Rosehip & Almond Protecting Shea Body Lotion and Jasmine & Vanilla Hydrating Shea Body Lotion.
The therapeutic versions are rich in vitamin E and antioxidants to dramatically repair and strengthen dry, flaky skin. My skin isn’t flaky, but elbows and knees need extra care. The remaining body lotions work great for day to day use and include shea butter in their formula which quickly absorbs into the skin. These are great for locking in moisture after your bath or shower.
I found all formulas to be thicker like a cream but spreadable and lightweight like a lotion. I used them after the shower, and sometimes before I took photos so my skin to looked a bit healthier. You can’t beat a flip top cap which is a lot safer to transport than pump bottles and avoid spills. My skin was HUNGRY for moisture and soaked these babies up with minimal rubbing in. I love thick creams but not when they just sit on top of the skin and take forever to sink in.
My favorite one is definitely the Jasmine & Vanilla Hydrating lotion. The scent is beautiful and not too strong. It also leaves my legs feeling really nice and smooth and not greasy. The Rosehip & Almond one has a very faint scent that I can almost barely detect.
You can find Derma E vegan body lotion at ULTA, Whole Foods and even CVS and they cost less than $13 a tube.

I’ve been using this lotion on the daily and LOVE it! I have the lavender, which smells so good. I want to try out the Rosehip and Almond next! 🙂
