Holistic Vegan Skincare
Kypris Beauty has always been one of those coveted brands for me. They exude luxury and a true passion for sustainably sourced, effective skincare. Not only is the brand vegan and cruelty free, but sourced from small farms, 100% organic, and free of synthetics — just naturally derived botanicals blended using the best in “green” science can offer.
I’ve previously reviewed their Cleanser Concentrate and managed to make that product stretch out several months by using it only sparingly because I loved it so much. Now I have two new products to add to my experience with Kypris Beauty and this time was no less fantastic than the first. I was sent three products I had my eye on; the Moonlight Catalyst, Glow Philtre and Beauty Elixir 1.
In general, I look for skincare products that help refine, smooth, and decongest my skin. I have combo skin that has some hyperpigmentation, oil ducts that need frequent help keeping clear, and fine to noticeable lines in the usual areas on my face. Exfoliation has become one of the most important steps in my routine next to hydrating and moisturizing my skin.
Glow Philtre is the perfect gentle gel mask that exfoliates the skin to clear out pores and smooth the skin. I like to use this directly after my shower and use a brush to spread it on and sit for a good 10-20 minutes while I take care of getting my daughter ready for bedtime. I like to think of it as a great prep step before putting on my serums so they properly absorb. Glow Philtre uses pomegranate pith enzymes, sea fennel stem cells and sea algae to revitalize and brighten the skin. Because this is quite gentle, you can use it up to three times a week without experiencing any irritation.
After I rinse that off I follow with any serums I choose for the night which usually include a hyaluronic acid, a vitamin C blend, and the Moonlight Catalyst. If you aren’t on a full strength regimen of retinoids, then Moonlight Catalyst is a great natural herbal alternative to go with. I would bet that this would be great for extra sensitive skin types since it uses a blend of fermented pumpkin enzymes, biomimetic EGF and botanical extracts to further aid in helping the cellular renewal process to even skin tone, decongest pores, fades acne scars while calming and soothing the skin. I know that sometimes in the past my skin would feel dry or irritated as I got used to typical retinoids but it never happened with this product. My skin always felt comfortable and never experienced any redness at all. Kypris still recommends to use this ONLY during your nighttime routine to avoid irritation.
The last step in my routine is finishing with a moisturizer or in this case, Beauty Elixir 1. I love using oils on my skin have come to learn that even combo and oily skin can benefit from its use. Beauty Elixir 1 is moisturizing skin oil that uses essential oils from 1,000 organic Bulgarian roses to soften and give the skin that glowy goodness we all love. The stuff is potent and only a few drops are needed for the entire face. I could not use this during the day because it does appear “oily” on the face, but works great for night time. I found this to be my favorite product of all three, closely followed by the Glow Philtre treatment mask.
There is something really beautiful about this brand and how they make me feel when I get to use them. I plan to try and stretch these products out as long as I can too since I always enjoy everything I try from Kypris. I have my eye on the Deep Forest Clay mask and Body Elixir next.
