Zoya Naked Manicure Hand Serum and Hand Cream - review by popular Los Angeles beauty blogger My Beauty Bunny

Zoya Naked Manicure Hand Serum and Hand Cream Review

I’m sure you guys already know about cruelty free and vegan Zoya nail polish, but did you know they also have hand treatments? The new Naked Manicure line from Zoya is designed to keep your hands moisturized and looking young AF! (Sorry – I had to!)

The Naked Manicure Hydrating Hand & Body Serum and Healing Dry Skin Hand & Body Cream are the perfect pair to hydrate and lock in moisture. Remember how I told you about humectants and emollients and how they help to impart moisture and then lock it in? Well, the Zoya serum is the perfect humectant. It’s a super light spray made with hyaluronic acid, glycerin, aloe, grapeseed extract, Irish Moss (a type of algae that can protect against UV rays), and keratin.

Side note: as an acne sufferer, I am a little scared of using seaweeds because I’ve been told they can trigger breakouts. There’s always the risk of putting seaweed on my hands and then touching my face. But in general, I try NOT to touch my face, and the seaweed in the serum is buffered by the cream (which does not contain seaweed) I put on top, so I don’t think it’s a big deal. Just thought I’d mention it.

The Zoya hand cream is made with raspberry seed oil, glycerin, and argan oil. It’s what you use to lock in the moisture and prevent water loss. Zoya calls it “saran wrap for your skin” but it’s very light and don’t worry – you won’t feel like you have anything on your hands. The cream has a really nice scent. It’s a mix of fruity and earthy/powdery. Hard to explain, but it starts out more on the fruity side and the base note smells more like amber to me. It’s not a super heavy fragrance, but it’s not the lightest fragrance either. I can still smell it 10 minutes after applying it. If I was in the middle of migraine-zone, I would not use it, but for normal days, I quite like it.

The way I use these products is a few quick sprays of the serum first. I rub it in and then very quickly follow up with the cream. I don’t want to let the serum evaporate, so I can lock in as much moisture as possible. I think these are great during the day, but they are super light, so at night I like a heavier cream. Neither product is greasy at all. In fact, I wish the cream was a little heavier. I like my hands to feel SUPER covered with hand lotion (just not greasy). I feel the same way about hyaluronic acid serums on my face – they never make me feel hydrated even though I know they are working. Does anyone else feel that way, or is that just me? These products are not vegan (the serum has keratin from sheep’s wool and the cream has beeswax), but they are cruelty free (no animal testing and not sold in China).

You can pick up a set of both the serum and the cream for $23 at zoya.com.

Paper Flower for Weddings and Events by Ritsuka Inc

Also can we please talk about how gorgeous these handmade paper flowers are? I’ve been using them as backdrops for my product shots and they are just gorgeous. They are perfect for a wedding or other springtime or summer event. You can hang them up or put them out as table decor. You could even get ambitious and order enough to make a flower wall! You can find them them on Etsy – made by the lovely Rituska Inc!
