MyChelle Brightening Skincare

Almost everyone wants to brighten skin and get rid of sun spots. The older you are, the more sun damage you likely have – and the more dark spots you have on your face, arms and chest! As you age, your skin absorbs daily UV rays, which causes damage at multiple layers in the skin. Too much sun over the years can lead to premature aging, wrinkles and a dull, uneven appearance. Boo! What’s a girl (or guy) to do?

My recent discovery is the Age Spot/UV Recovery line from cruelty free brand, MyChelle. I’ve seen this brand at Whole Foods and the Hollywood flagship Walgreens, and some of you have asked me to review it. I have tried the oily/blemish prone line with grapefruit, and I love it! MyChelle recently sent me the Age Spot/UV Recovery line, and I am equally impressed.

The hero ingredients in this line of products are from apple stem cells and plant extracts.

The Apple Brightening Cleanser leaves my skin feeling completely clean, but not stripped. I like to use it with my konjac sponge for maximum exfoliation.

Cleanser Key Ingredients:

Bellis Perennis (Belides™) (Daisy) Flower Extract – Brightening extract that infuses the skin with various phytochemicals to keep skin healthy and free from malfunction. Excellent wound healer and indicated in the treatment of bruising and brightening of scar tissue.

Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract (Applephenon™) –
Shown to contain ten times the level of polyphenol found in ripe apples. Maintains youthful skin, rich in malic acid, which refines and rejuvenates the skin, inhibits elastase known to maintain healthy elastin fibers.

Gallic Acid (Plant) – 5% –
A skin brightener and lightener. Inhibits tyrosinase and decreases the synthesis of melanin. A phyto-chemical with anti-viral, antifungal, anti-inflammatory and powerful antioxidant actions.

The Apple Brightening Serum may be all you need if you have oily skin. It’s the most potent product, and can be used alone or under moisturizer.

Serum Key Ingredients:

Niacinamide (B3) – Improves oxygenation and ingredient absorption by stimulant actions that increase circulation and detoxification processes, assists in the utilization of B vitamins.

Nonapeptide-1 (Melanostatine®5) – Biomimetic peptide (mimics body’s natural response) shown to reduce hyperpigmentation by preventing activation of tyrosinase and blocking melanin synthesis.

Malus Domestica (Apple) Fruit Cell Culture (PhytoCellTec™) – Revolutionary break through ingredient in skin care to stop chronological aging. First topical product to protect human skin stem cells and delay natural aging process by maintaining the activity of skin stem cells. Triggers the skin’s cell potential for infinite regeneration while reducing wrinkle depth.

Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract (Applephenon™) – Shown to contain ten times the level of polyphenol found in ripe apples. Maintains youthful skin, rich in malic acid which refines and rejuvenates the skin, inhibits elastase (an enzyme that breaks down elastin protein) known to maintain healthy elastin fibers.

If you need a little more moisture, try the Apple Brightening Cream. I use it on my dry areas after applying the serum.

Moisturizer Key Ingredients:

Malus Domestica (Apple) Plant Cell Culture (PhytoCellTec™) – Revolutionary break through ingredient in skin care to stop chronological aging. First topical product to protect human skin stem cells and delay natural aging process by maintaining the activity of skin stem cells. Triggers the skin’s cell potential for infinite regeneration while reducing wrinkle depth.

Renovage – Slows down cells’ biological clock leading to healthier skin. It firms, hydrates, plumps and reduces wrinkles, sun spots, redness and pore size.

Ascorbic Acid – Ascorbic Acid (L) – Water soluble Vitamin C, an antioxidant that strengthens collagen, assists in brightening, provides anti-wrinkle effects, smoothes skin texture, and heals wounds.

Clari-Net – beautiful white lily (aka sea daffodil) found on the northern beaches of Chania. It is an aqueous extract of this sustainable, rare flower, which is grown and harvested in greenhouses to assure sustainability. Tested in-vivo it was shown to significantly reduce skin pigmentation in 6 weeks.

MyChelle Sale

I have seen apple stem sells in skincare lines that cost A LOT more. Plus for the month of January, all products on the MyChelle website are 20% off (use code FRESH14)! Go forth and buy cruelty free!
