Too Faced Born This Way Foundation and Concealer Review featured by popular Los Angeles cruelty free beauty blogger, My Beauty Bunny

Jackie Aina x Too Faced Born This Way Foundation Shades – Swatches

Question of the Week: It is HOT. What keeps your makeup from melting?

Okay so the photo above is me SWEATING like crazy in this awful heat wave! This last week has tested me – I’m telling you! Jen does not do anything about 80 degrees, and it’s been 91 degrees in my apartment with the AC on full blast and three fans on! I have been using Yuni Beauty Chillax on the back of my neck, a wet towel in the freezer, lots of water and electrolytes, and basically just trying not to die. I’ve even been getting up early to get work done before it gets SUPER hot in my place, and anyone who knows me knows that is an extreme measure because I’m not a morning person!

I’ve had things to do and people to see this week, so I was VERY impressed to discover that Too Faced Born This Way foundation holds up pretty darn well in the heat – even with me sweating (….glowing?) like nobody’s business. What’s really exciting is that the team at Too Faced has teamed up with YouTuber Jackie Aina to create a bunch of new shades. The shade range is now quite impressive – with one new super pale shade (Cloud) and several medium and deeper shades. We really need more diversity with makeup shades, so I’m very happy to see this collection growing! Too Faced Born This Way foundation gives you medium to full coverage, depending on how you apply it, and it is also gluten-free, paraben-free and vegan!

If you need a little more coverage for acne or melasma spots, try the Born This Way Multi Use Sculpting Concealer, which has VERY full coverage (a little goes a long way) and is Too Faced’s answer to Tarte Shape Tape. You can also use these liquid concealers to highlight and contour (just pick shades a few shades lighter or darker than your skin tone). The concealer is vegan, gluten-free, paraben-free, and cruelty free.

There are also two new Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder shades – Medium and Deep (as well as the former Translucent).

Note: All Too Faced products are free of animal testing and not sold in China or other countries that require animal testing. Their parent company is not cruelty free. The Too Faced website does not list the setting powder as vegan, so I’m looking into it to see if I can find out. The foundation and concealer are labeled vegan on the Too Faced website.

Blushing Noir is Currently Craving: The new Dior BACKSTAGE Eyeshadow Palettes, especially the cool version. IMO you can never have enough neutral, everyday shades and these are PERFECT!
