Unless you’re willing to pay a lot of money, vegan friendly hair masks can be difficult to get your hands on. That’s why it’s so beneficial to embrace your DIY skills and make an affordable mask with ingredients you likely have lying around your house already. It won’t take you long to whip up a recipe, and you’ll likely have some left over so you can use the mask more than once. Three of the easiest vegan face masks to try out first are listed below.
Moisturizing Avocado Hair Mask
Ingredients:
– 1/2 Avocado
– 1/2 Ripe Banana
– 2 Tablespoons Almond Milk
– 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
– 1 Tablespoon Maple Syrup
– 2 Tablespoons Fresh Mint
The nourishing ingredients in this mask will get rid of frizz and leave you with a gloss that you won’t believe. To make this, mash up the avocado and banana together in a bowl, then mix in the rest of the ingredients until completely combined. Evenly distribute this onto your hair and let rest for 15-20 minutes. To finish, wash and condition hair with natural products and repeat every two weeks.
Clarifying Coconut Hair Mask
Ingredients:
– 1 Ripe Banana
– 1/2 Tablespoon Olive Oil
– 4 Tablespoons Coconut Oil
– 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
– 1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
Mix all of these ingredients in a bowl until well combined. After this, lightly comb the mixture onto your hair and allow it to sit for about 1 hour. Wash and condition with natural products to finish, and repeat once every other week. Not only does this mask smell wonderful, but the vinegar in it will clarify your hair to make it incredibly soft and manageable.
Volumizing Rosemary Hair Mask
– 5 Drops Rosemary Oil
– 1 Tablespoon Avocado Oil
– 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
– 2 Tablespoons Sesame Oil
– 1 Teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar
This mask leaves hair looking shiny, healthy and vibrant due to all of the moisturizing oils. To make it at home, gently stir the ingredients together before combing the mixture into your hair (avoiding the roots). Allow this to sit for about 20 minutes before rinsing your hair out with natural shampoo and conditioner. Repeat using this mask once per month for best results.
